Temat postu: Who is your school most famous athlete
Who is your school most famous athlete
High School Athletic Association is celebrating its 100th anniversary next year and is in the process of compiling a top 100 list for coaches, players and administrators.
Picking the most outstanding ever in the NCHSAA is a nebulous task, ugg hommes, because what does most outstanding mean?
Is the most outstanding synonymous with being the most famous? Or is the most outstanding the most dominating during his or her high school years? Is the most outstanding the athlete who had the most successful college or professional career?
Or perhaps the most outstanding athlete is the person who achieved the most good for the community, even if the adult accomplishments had nothing to do with athletics.
The correct answer, to me, is somewhere in the midst of that discussion. Open golf championship provoked a recent discussion that he was Broughton High most outstanding athlete ever. Someone countered with Jesse Williams, the twotime Olympian and the reigning world high jump champion.
On my list, Pete Maravich, one of the greatest basketball players ever, is the school most outstanding athlete.
The conversation provoked a list of the most outstanding athletes ever at most high schools. Schools that have been opened since 1999 and schools that no longer exist were not included.
